Alcoholism Awareness and Sugar Cravings

As we acknowledge April is Alcohol Awareness Month.  I am so proud of my patients who have followed the program to curb alcoholism and adultery that I developed — “biochemical craving for connection.” They follow a no sugar diet, exercise, and take supplements to curb sugar cravings, balancing their blood sugar and brain chemicals, and with family therapy and them attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), they have an easier time with alcohol awareness and alcohol abuse prevention.
I have asked patients who attend AA meetings to bring their own snacks like walnuts, and an apple with a protein like almond butter, NO sugar, because doughnuts or coffee with sugar or lollipops understandably replacing alcohol can cause cravings later for alcohol and sweets. I learned this from one of my patients who would crave sweets and alcohol after the meetings. He now has no cravings for alcohol after the very important AA meetings he needs to attend and has just completed his year anniversary, and I am so proud of him and his family who see me weekly to learn how to help him with this disease, which can destroy families without treatment.
My own family had alcoholism in it, and I’m so proud of my family members who worked hard at recovery and conquered and managed the disease. I saw firsthand the devastation to the family when this disease strikes and the amazing possibilities of change, when the biochemical craving for connection protocol I use consisting of a diet of no sugar,  taking supplements, and exercise is followed with AA and the family’s support.
For more information of the role of sugar and its elimination with exercise and supplements in addictions like alcoholism and adultery, which is increased with alcohol (lowering inhibitions) check out the book I Wrote:Can We Cure and Forgive Adultery, your biochemical craving for connection where I share examples of some of the patients I’ve worked with and my family’s struggles with addiction and how with family support and love by their side they conquered their addictions.
You can do this too like my patients and my family, even if the addiction is alcohol, adultery, workaholism, drugs or financial infidelity – check out Financial Infidelity; The #1 Relationship Wrecker to learn how the  elimination of sugar in the diet (which typically alcohol abusers do not know about or follow !) and a special supplement stopping sugar cravings for food or drink, and exercising instead of eating or drinking sugar (alcohol) whenever tempted.
